Desert Rose | At the Door | Fealty and Fellowship

Desert Rose

Shamda had once asked Arrom why he enjoyed the rain.

Arrom had blinked thoughtfully, the space between his eyebrows crinkling like a falling pillar, and said merely that it made him think of nothing.

Afterwards, there had been a long silence, broken only by the soft dripping. After some time, Shamda had heard the faint, familiar sounds of Charedi calling out for his wife, who often took advantage of the rain to escape to the distant river-caves.

Arrom had stayed still, eyes closed and his mouth slightly open, face tilted up, embracing the rain.

Happy because he thought of nothing.

At the Door

Daniel blinked, time moved forward, switching from night to morning in that quick flash of nothing.

Another dull thump sounded out in the room and the handle on the door to the hotel's hallway clanged down. He heard rough pleading at the door, a moan for "just another chance, baby".

He wondered if the guy would ever figure out that he was pounding on the wrong door. Daniel would do something about it, but since he wasn't 'officially' here…

And the 'occupant' of the room was asleep.

Daniel twisted sideways, trying to get comfortable.

Jack was heavier than he looked.

Fealty and Fellowship

Teal'c burns with the desire to break through this necessary façade and rip slashes into his captors' pallid flesh, raising up rusty-red serpents upon their blasphemous skin. They claim friendship and he longs to spit truth back out at them, to beat the glory of Apophis' godhood into their twisted and broken bodies. O'Neill, MajorCarter, DanielJackson, GeneralHammond, DoctorFraiser… his list of the dead grows by the moment.

Being a loyal servant, he shows none of this, instead waiting patiently for the door to the isolation chamber to open and his charade to begin.

He will not fail his God again.
